~01 Aug 13 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Thoughts so far. England- Basic opening with a play at Scandinavia and a friendly opening with France. Potential for a joint attack on Germany? France- Likewise, friendly opening by France with England and Germany, leaving EC and Bur open. It will be interesting seeing that develop. Italy- Cautious opening with Austria, although chances are its friendly. Convoy to Tunis expected, otherwise likely an eventual play against Turkey with Austria? Germany- Standard opening except for Munich? Interesting approach, possibly agreeing to give Belgium to France or England. Could move to Bur in fall knowing France with take Spain... Austria- Solid opening with Russia not in Galicia. Looks like Turkey may be in a tough spot. Greece likely guaranteed with Serbian support. Turkey- Trusting Russia for a no bounce and getting the short end of that stick. Rough position now considering Armenia could be a choice for Russia. Russia- Solid opening with everything and everyone seeming to go your way. Only England poses a real threat with a potential convoy to Norway from Yorkshire. Should be an interesting Fall everyone! |
