19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, the start of the battle: I don't understand at all. There are three kinds of pieces? How many kinds of terrain? |
19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, the start of the battle: Is this an entirely sea-battle? |

19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, the start of the battle: I... I think so? I'm red. |
19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, half an hour after the start of the battle: i know that much. okay so the "DropDown-OrderInterface" is a MUST for this map. it looks like the "land" and "sea" units don't matter in this variant. my "sea" units can move two spaces, and my "land" units can only move one. hm. |
19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, half an hour after the start of the battle: wait no it's the "InteractiveMap-OrderInterface" that's necessary. cos then you can actually SEE the map |
19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, half an hour after the start of the battle: Haha yes. I figured it out (read the description). This is build-anywhere diplomacy. The spaces with the extra hexagons are SC's. The ships that can move two (frigates) can't take SC's. The ships that can move one (galleys) are the kind of ships that you build during a build-phase. If either of us loses a flagship (the ones that can't move) then he loses. |
19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, half an hour after the start of the battle: ...which explains why we're DESTROYING units instead of building them. What the heck. Also, you can't build move-2s. Ever. |
19 Feb 16 UTC | 7 October 1571, 1 hour after the start of the battle: UGH i didn't realize those were SCs. now i have to go get more. |
23 Feb 16 UTC | yeahhhhh .... i have no idea what just happened. Want to try again? OTHERWISE there's a really sweet map called "Cold War" which looks awesome. |
