19 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2012: GameMaster: NMR from DRC. Send the country in CD.
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: Btw guys, I forgot to mention I'm the creator of this map, so sorry if there's any problems with it
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: You told me at least, i have no prob
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: ...I was assuming "problems with the map", not issues with the map designer playing. I can't imagine the latter being substantially different from someone who's played the map extensively playing, given the public availability of movement maps.
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: I was interested to learn (from Rancher) that Tristan created this variant. I think it is cool to play a game with the designer. I'm grateful to Tristan for designing a playable Africa variant with some interesting features (like the neutral units).
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: Out of interest, though, if you're open to answering questions - why put the rivers in, if the map is Build Anywhere? Use of them seems like it would be quite a niche case if you don't /have/ to use them to be capable of getting fleets out.
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: I've actually not played this game many times since I created it, and I tried to make the map fair, so it's not as if I know any special trick to dominate any game as any particular country
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: I put in rivers as it seemed unfair to force Ethiopia and Mali to be totally landlocked, so I created ways for them to get to the sea, if they wanted to, even if they are almost never used. The other 3 rivers I then included because they were bigger and I kind of just felt like it.
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: I'd be open to designing a newer version or more different era Africa map at some point, but I'm not sure what changes I would want/need to make, plus I'm super out of practice at map development now.
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: Well, trying very hard NOT to be a fanancient, the map is 90% of why I signed up to play - brilliant. But I'm saving comments about the design til I've played it through - surely best to get ALL the suggestions together at the end!
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: This is my first time playing this map and it's pretty cool to be playing with the designer. It seems like a good variant and I'm looking forward to the rest of the game!
24 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2013: Well Nigeria, maybe I'll give you back Ghana, if you'll tell me any secret artifice :)
29 Apr 16 UTC Autumn, 2015: Pass me the revolver, somebody.
