21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: Hello nations. I ask what kind of global community we are going to create. Are we all just going to aim for expansionism? Some say that this is the point of the game, but that's not quite true. We can create consensus between nations and whatever nations break things which were said in the agreement, we can aim our effort towards them. That would be an example, so I ask what kind of community it would be. |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: All roots of our actions come from distrust of other nations. This is what I think about how each of us play. |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: Greetings Egyptian leader. What is exactly your proposal? |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: I'm saying that we should make a global alliance, where we can maintain order and harmony between states. |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: Hello everybody, so, who the alliance will attack first :D |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: How about invading another game? |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: The problems that occur in every game is because of everyone's approach with expansionism by their side. Rather than expansionism, maybe we can keep to our own lands, until someone would be the offender. So other nations would come in aid of the victim nation. In that way, no one would be able to expand. Are all nations willing to cooperate in such terms? I ask all nations to agree to such terms. If you agree than say hands. If a nation expands, than we would all strike that nation. So the status quo should be maintained in this alliance until a nation breaks away from the status quo. |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: If you agree, say "Aye. I am willing to cooperate in such an alliance." |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: If there at least 7 nations who agree, such an alliance will come into effect. |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: @Egypt: this is a freakin' good idea, actually. I'll call you Woodrow Wilson for the rest of the game, and wait for other nations to talk about your proposal. |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: so....are we allowed to take nuetral sc's or would that not be allowed either? Just not attacking each other? I like this idea and I just want further clearification before i agree. |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: So does the game ends after all neutral centres are taken up? |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: i have reasons to believe germany will attack me, so i will only accept this universal alliance if germany accepts it also |
21 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: Russia does not agree to this. We of the Eastern Bloc reject your puny Western ideas. |
22 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: So we need more specifications about this consensus. Like Ukraine said, I think it would be nice to first take all the neutrals first in this game. Also, I say it would be a good rule that no one invades into a nations homeland, including his lands that aren't SCs. And Germany, no the game wouldn't. I doubt that all nations would comply to this consensus, such as Russia. If most of the nations would comply, than the alliance will come into effect. We need at least 7 nations to agree to this. If you agree say "Aye. This nation is willing to cooperate in such an alliance." |
22 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: And if you have some suggestions to the forming of this consensus, please speak. Currently, there is no global alliance, so you will have to play as if your alone. Once 2/3 rounded up of all nations agree, than it will come into effect. |
22 Jan 11 UTC | Spring, 1994: only cause i want to try it, Aye i agree. However, if 2/3 dont agree i just suggest opening a thread in the forums and getting a group of players who actually want to join the game to try your idea. |
22 Jan 11 UTC | Autumn, 1994: So we all just playing balance-of-power diplomacy? |
23 Jan 11 UTC | Autumn, 1994: Beware the Russian Bear! He is growing big, fast! Unless he wants to form an alliance with Italy, in that case, don't sweat him, he's a teddy bear! ;-) |
23 Jan 11 UTC | Autumn, 1994: I for one, wish to have peaceful relations with Russia. |
