29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (kaner406): welcome! |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (kaner406): filling up quick! I've been anticipating a game of this variant ever since I stumbled upon it. |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (sswetzen): Yeah, I'm really curious about what the different countries will be named. |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (kaner406): they're rather prosaic (Denmark, Egypt, India etc...) but the full names of the kingdom you can find in the top right hand corner of the map. |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (sswetzen): Yeah, I see, but one odd things is that all of Scandinavia is owned by Denmark?!? If they make it all one country, it should be called "The Vikings" or something... |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (EvW): looks like a cool map |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (kaner406): remember each SC that isn't ''owned'' yet has a neutral unit guarding it... |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (EvW): Damn. |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (fasces349): The Kingdom of Denmark invaded Scanadiavia during the 9th century |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (sswetzen): Hey, I'm from Sweden and I know that Denmark at it's height of power held Norway and Scania, but not the rest Sweden. A danish King was king in Sweden for some time but it was never a part of Denmark. |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (GOD): Who cares ? The most important thing is that the map makes fun :)) |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (kaner406): and what country God fights on... right? |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (GOD): Mhm ^^ |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (kaner406): but seriously, I included Norway and Uppland in the Danish kingdom, not because it was historically accurate (I know there where 3 expansions of vikings from different parts of Scandinavia and each leaving their own mark on modern Europe) but because it simply looked ''better'' to have Danish influence in these territories. |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: (Alcuin): We need one more. Who's going to pressgang someone? |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: Yeah, I understand. I was just a bit surprised, that's all. |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: For France! |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: Don't start your crusades... |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: Convert the Non-believers! |
29 Oct 11 UTC | Spring, 901: I've never heard of Srivijaya before. Now I learned something new. Seems like a great map... except I'm surrounded by a lot of people :( |
