12 Jun 20 UTC Good game guys. I really tried for the solo, but alas, I couldn't. Good job!
12 Jun 20 UTC I think the adriatic sea area needs to be reworked. It's too much of a stalemate zone.
12 Jun 20 UTC Yeah, definitely. This map is really stalemate-y in general, it'd be really tricky to solo.

@venezia: thanks for amazing game, and especially for not piling in on me when Genova was attacking me.

@genova you played quite recklessly, imo

@napoli: very well played, not stabbing Chiesa after beating the Ottomans was inspired! You were *this* close to a solo, but alas - you didn't quite make it.
12 Jun 20 UTC GG and well played, especially to you Naples. I had a plan to breakthrough in the Adriatic Sea which might have worked, but I kept on postponing it for one reason or another. When you built that fleet in Bari it was well and truly an eternal stalemate though.
There are a lot of very stalemate-prone zones on this variant for sure. I never would have made any more progress against Chiesa without Naples storming in like he did. Pretty fun game though.
12 Jun 20 UTC @Savoia - I was a bit reckless. I have played this variant many times, but I don't think ever as Genova. From the start I thought my strategy had to be to own the Tyrrhenian but to also get a foothold with troops on the mainland in your territory and centers, It obviously didn't work out!!
12 Jun 20 UTC Venezia / Papal States need to move against Naples, otherwise I'll always be doing Cold Turkey! Seriously difficult to establish France or Turkey on the board without cooperation from someone's help or Neapolitan incompetence and KINGIVANOVA was far from that; I could've lasted another year if I had made a better guess on one phase, but my galleys were doomed from the start!
12 Jun 20 UTC Yeah Ottomans and France are super tricky.
12 Jun 20 UTC @Turkey, it certainly wasn't your fault. You had a bad starting position.
