07 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1902: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
09 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1903: GameMaster: Russia voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
09 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Why?
09 Apr 20 UTC Spring, 1903: Imminent defeat
18 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1905: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
23 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: GG, best of luck with the remainder of the game.
24 Apr 20 UTC Autumn, 1907: GG!
26 Apr 20 UTC Well played everyone, wrap it up after the builds then (unless Germany is happy to disband instead of retreating)
26 Apr 20 UTC Hi everyone,
As the rise and fall of the German Empire is now complete, I like to thank everyone for the game. Its been interesting playing my first game of Diplomacy since I left university, 36 years ago. I have been impressed with how easy it is to play the game with the vDiplomacy software. A lot easier than the postal games I used to play.
Good luck to the remaining players ( if you continue any further).
All the Best
Germany
26 Apr 20 UTC Thanks for the game in Germany!
26 Apr 20 UTC GameMaster: Italy voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
26 Apr 20 UTC Hi guys, as promised to both of you, I've voted for a 3-nation draw as soon as it was down to just us. It's been a pleasure playing with everyone, thank you very much for the game
26 Apr 20 UTC Good game Germany, you were a worthy foe and thanks for playing.

France, we never really had much to do with each other, but you did as well as the situation allowed.

Austria and Russia - Neither of you ever responded to my messages, so I guess I can't really say well played.

England, what can I say? Haha. For a while I was happy with Germany stabbing you because we could begin working together, then for a while I was getting frustrated with you (just before France was defeated) and in the end it all worked out well and we seemed to work very well together. Overall I'd just say, thank you.

Italy, you were fantastic mate. Never betrayed me, we always worked well together and you were very reasonable. One of the best alliances I've had for sure. My paranoia around you near the end was misplaced - but I get like that towards the final stages of every game now so sorry about that.

Thanks is everyone!
26 Apr 20 UTC Thanks everyone!*
26 Apr 20 UTC GameMaster: Turkey voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Autumn, 1909" the votes will be cleared.
26 Apr 20 UTC Germany asked in chat whom I was friends with in RL - the answer is I still don't know, but I'll post when I do!
26 Apr 20 UTC Thanks for the game, all!

Germany - I think it's clear your stab was the game-defining moment, and I expect we'd have been looking at a 4-way draw otherwise.

Apologies to Turkey and Italy for being a source of frustration - I had already been stabbed once, and wanted to play it safe. Italy's bullish nature hardly gave me reason to be confident I'd end up with a good result either!
26 Apr 20 UTC Hi everyone!

Turkey - our alliance was what made this possible! Thanks. I was hoping that your moves at the end were defensive rather than plotting, but your paranoia was feeding my paranoia!

England - I'm sorry for the bullishness. Once me and Turkey had agreed to go for a 3-nation draw, my strategy at first was to try to push you out of France, but still go for a 3-nation draw when you had little choice. After you got attacked by Germany you actually bounced back very fast, and it became apparent you weren't going to take that sitting down. Well played for slowing us down! My moves to try and dominate France were just to give me as strong a position as possible.

Germany & England - I agree that Germany's stab was a game defining moment. I would love to know the reasons behind your decision!

France - you seemed like you would have been an amazing long-term ally, but I think if I hadn't attacked you when I did, I wouldn't be in the winning draw.
