11 Jun 20 UTC | good game . |
11 Jun 20 UTC | Haha oops forgot to hit the draw |
11 Jun 20 UTC | Ah no worries. Good game. |
11 Jun 20 UTC | what's everyone view of this map? I find it a bit binary tbh. it's a bit dull. |
11 Jun 20 UTC | Like the classic map seems to have a much wider range of of possible openings whereas here i felt my moves were all pretty obvious. |
11 Jun 20 UTC | maybe it's the fact that me , and glasgow formed a solid alliance early on and orkney and outer herbredes were both pretty conservative in their play, , but i never felt like there was any real risk of a solo (at least given how we played). . I'm not really sure what the alternative would have been. |
12 Jun 20 UTC | I think it would be interesting to play if draws were banned, as it has a lot of immediacy, but I agree it’s a bit one sided; for one thing, I don’t see how the two northern powers ever get ahead |
12 Jun 20 UTC | Yeah I don't particularly like this new variant. The sea space are too scrunched up and there isn't a lot of options |
12 Jun 20 UTC | That as well. you were basically stuck all game fleet wise because the only other move you could make was one that would be explicitly aggressive towards me. |
