15 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: gopher27 (Moderator): Greetings all, A player in this game has requested to speak with a Mod some technical issues with this game. I am imposing a Pause, while that conversation takes place. I suspect that this game may be cancelled and restarted with some different messaging options selected. The Mod Team |
16 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: gopher27 (Moderator): Greetings all, The messaging for this game has been changed from "no messaging" to "regular messaging". This is mainly so that players can respond with what they want. The Mods on this site want for all diplomacy that happens within a game to happen literally within a given game. Substantively communicating with other players about a game outside of that game starts to get into "meta-gaming" as we define it. Are players OK with shifting communications to our platform from discord? If a game is to be "no messaging" then we would prefer that players not be messaging each other. Let us know how players wish to proceed. This game can be cancelled. The messaging setting can be shifted back to "no messaging". It could be shifted to "public messaging only". The Mod Team |
16 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: We can just do messaging here. No diplomacy on discord fellas. Editorial comments are ok, I assume. Mods.... everyone in this game came off discord. |
16 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: yeah, can we resume the adjudication, please? I think it makes sense to just continue with this game |
16 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: I'm ok with messaging through here |

16 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: gopher27 (Moderator): Greetings, OK, I am happy to restart the game. As this game is anonymous, I can see things that y'all should not be able to. Y'all have a player who has not entered orders and has not been on site for 6 days. This player may cause the game to delay, possibly repeatedly. Given the current selected options, the game will automatically "Extend" over the first three turns any time a player fails to enter orders, and players will have to fail to enter orders twice before being booted out of the game to be replaced. In large map games this can be very frustrating for some players. The Mod Team |
16 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: I think that will be fine. If the mods will help us identify who needs replaced, we will eventually get thirteen people who will enter orders. Thank you. |
16 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: everyone give me your SCs it's a good idea trust me |
17 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
17 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: Shocker |
17 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: We may need to reorganize, and keep better track of all the players. This was a gm fail. I’m sorry. |

18 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: Please sound off so we know who is here. Give your name and your country. Also include your dis ord handle, in case we need to cancel this game, and reorganize. |
18 Jul 20 UTC | Spring, 1861: Sorry everybody, that was my fault. I was watching the Discord for the game to start, didn't realize we had filled it up |
