13 Sep 20 UTC | Spring, 1901: The great Sultan of the Ottomans must have been burying himself in the rich archives of the Great Library of Alexandria ... |
13 Sep 20 UTC | Spring, 1901: Yes we might soon get a new sultan. There must be an intense power struggle among the dozens of possible heirs. Intrigues among the favourite wives in the harems, abductions and possibly even murders amongst brothers. But maybe the old Sultan miracoulously appears and manages to calm things again in the Empire. The italian emissaries are currently monitoring the situation but could offer no further clues. |
13 Sep 20 UTC | Spring, 1901: Apologies, fellow monarchs, but everything is fine in the Ottoman Empire right now. The Italian player might need to fire their current emissaries, because there is no such power struggle in the Ottoman Empire right now. As for the lack of diplomacy with other powers, let's just say that the harem hasn't exactly increased my productivity.. Therefore, as the Sultan of the great, powerful Ottoman Empire, I am shutting down the royal harem in favor of administering my proud country and conducting diplomacy with the other powers. If it is necessary for Turkey to no longer be the sick man of Europe, so be it. Unfortunately, the Great Library of Alexandria was burnt down over a millennia ago, but there are many grand libraries, Turkish baths, grand bazaars, and other gems in Constantinople. I implore every European leader to come to our wonderful city of Constantinople and see for yourself the wonders this city has to offer! |

15 Sep 20 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Indeed - our king has been known to overindulge, but the Prince Regent has stepped in. |
15 Sep 20 UTC | Autumn, 1901: Although, on a brighter note I have also considered the possibility of the King paying a diplomatic visit to the Italian vanguards and ended up overstaying. |
19 Sep 20 UTC | Spring, 1902: Is the French Prince Regent at the vineyards too?! |

28 Sep 20 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Apologies my friends, but the debate in the Kremlin is still quite heated and will require some more time to be resolved. |
