21 Apr 21 UTC | Spring, 1889: (StarUnknown): this map looks like fun! |
21 Apr 21 UTC | Spring, 1889: (ajptaylor): It certainly does. This site has many interesting alternatives to play. The challenge is rounding up a quorum. Every now and then we break through and get a different game. Here's to hoping! |
21 Apr 21 UTC | Spring, 1889: (StarUnknown): Have u played this map before? what are the dynamics // meta of it like? to me--it looks like Hamra is the most well positioned but it seems pretty much balanced all the way around |
22 Apr 21 UTC | Spring, 1889: (ajptaylor): I have not played it. It reminds me a bit of the Celtic Britain map. |
24 Apr 21 UTC | Spring, 1889: (StarUnknown): Halfway there! :D |
24 Apr 21 UTC | Spring, 1889: (Mikey99): I played it once only, several years ago, the pink one... the narrow land channels means that land movement is easily blocked.... control of adjacent sea provinces are critical. |
25 Apr 21 UTC | Spring, 1889: (StarUnknown): Yeah this map seems very sea focused, especially with all the island SCs |

07 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Arafura]:Need some players for this one - https://www.vdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=48542 |

07 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Arafura]:This is why, when starting these games, its best to select minimal excused NMRs. |

08 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Arafura]:Is everyone having fun yet? |
08 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Jylland]:yeah this game is an emotional rollercoaster |
08 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Hamra]:certainly so! |
09 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Ishfahan]:Minimal NMR's: what the site really needs is a way to simply resign, rather than go though being nonresponsive. |
09 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [New Foundland]:This is why you only allow one or two delays, not four... |
09 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Ishfahan]:Yeah, yeah, yeah. The problem is players with no intestinal fortitude. Show up to play, celebrate your successes, take your defeats and move on. Doing the NMR thing so you don't have a defeat in your stats is silly, and rude to others. The point of the game is to have fun, not to rack up numbers. I have been playing Diplomacy since the 1970's (yes, with a board, wooden pieces and hand written moves), and it has always been about enjoying the game. |
09 May 21 UTC | Spring, 1890: [Lugulu]:Yo if anyone wants Kyushu now is the time gurliess @Ming-tao @Rajasthan @Sakhalin (dont think I dont see u eyeing Nemuro!!!!) jk ;) unless? |
