23 Oct 21 UTC Spring, 1960: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed.
23 Oct 21 UTC Spring, 1960: Info: This is a choose your country game.
23 Oct 21 UTC Spring, 1960: Looks like you have a real hardon for this particular map. You'll likely win as its my first time here so I am not familiar with the patterns or ideal moves. Cheers.
24 Oct 21 UTC Spring, 1960: Haha I'm training for a tournament, but also yes
24 Oct 21 UTC Spring, 1960: Good luck!
24 Oct 21 UTC Autumn, 1960: A tournament for this map?
24 Oct 21 UTC Autumn, 1960: Yeah, it's on the Diplomacy Nexus discord server!
24 Oct 21 UTC Spring, 1961: Ok, so you're trying out various strategies here?
25 Oct 21 UTC Spring, 1961: not really, just getting a feel

not very good at the strategy, just very good at feel
25 Oct 21 UTC Autumn, 1961: I had a look across your last few games in both positions to see your approach. You've already differed in this one by not building in Albania or Cuba and putting more effort into the Pacific. From that I'm guessing you're trying different stuff out.
27 Oct 21 UTC Autumn, 1962: Wow, you know every combo on this map and I can see why you chose USSR... its much more compact and centred in this map. With your knowledge of this map, I didn't stand a chance.
27 Oct 21 UTC Autumn, 1962: to be honest, I actually prefer NATO. NATO games tend to be more 'giant behemoth slowly overtakes compact country', and I like the slow walk to a win...

Also yeah, I've played a bunch on it, I think it's probably my most played
27 Oct 21 UTC Autumn, 1962: you've played really well though!
28 Oct 21 UTC Autumn, 1962: Looking at your record, you've played this game vastly more than any other on this site and I've seen you win and lose both sides. Personally I'd be bored, but you've done well to find, I guess, the winning formula for both sides. I did review several of your past games as USSR to see if I could see any patterns, but in this game, you didn't follow some of your previous moves. Personally, I don't see what I could have done differently. Nato positions are too diffused around the edges. So, I really don't see how I have played well at all.
05 Nov 21 UTC Oh well, learned my lesson not to play people who specialize in just one variant. I'm sorry I had no way to give you a run for your money. Well done.
06 Nov 21 UTC Thanks, I personally think that you had some incentive moves in getting further to eastern Europe, but I hope that you play this some more and we can rematch!
