21 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1860: GameMaster: Please remember that negotiations before the game begins are not allowed.
21 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1860: Info: This is a choose your country game.
21 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1860: Hey, welcome. And good luck!
21 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1860: Thanks! Good luck to you too!

I suspect I will lose again… but we shall see!
21 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1860: C’mon, lol! You’re one of the very best Dip players anywhere. I only won last time because I had played this variant a couple times before. You hadn’t.
21 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1860: aha! You've still got more games on this than I have, yeah?

Still gonna give it my all :D
21 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1860: By the way did you post the colonial 1885 game yet? If you did I did not see it.

Something I had been doing the past couple times, which I think is not too bad, with that map is setting the solo condition to 45. It allows non-colonial powers like China or Austria to have a more fair shot at going for a solo, rather than being boxed in by the numerous stalemate lines on that map.
22 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1860: I have not set up the Colonial 1885 yet. Will try and do that this weekend, and give you the heads-up a few hours before I go live.
Your idea of setting the EOG to 45 centers is a good one — I’ll do it.
I’m also considering using PPSC scoring instead of WTA — what are your thoughts on that?
22 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1860: Oh yeah-I had also put it to PPSC; good because the win condition will be small compared to the total number of centers
22 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1860: So, easier (and in some cases, now possible) to solo, but the payout is smaller as compensation
22 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1860: Yep. Exactly.
23 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1861: I just created the new Colonial 1885 game. It’s called “Not All Who Wander Are Lost”.
24 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1862: Dangerous turn coming up...
25 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1862: No doubt!
25 Jan 22 UTC Spring, 1863: Well done!
25 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1863: Thanks!
26 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1864: The confederacy seems to have issues with keeping their build sites open, at least compared to the union.
26 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1864: Well, well. See, you did learn from last game, lol! Yes, Chesapeake and Kentucky are the key strategic territories: occupy them and you control the game. I don’t mind telling you because you have either had the exact same thought already, or will once you reflect back on this match. I admit I used this game as a means to take a couple of chances, as the confederates have what I would describe as a very slight early disadvantage, which if they overcome it leads to them having the advantage later. You blocked my efforts and maintained your discipline, well done. This will be my first defeat in 6 tries at this, so I’m duly impressed by how quickly you figured things out. It might be interesting to play another couple of home-and-away rounds sometime, now that we’re both fully up to speed.
26 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1864: By the way, I’m not quitting. I will fight you to the end, praying all the way that you somehow make a mistake, lol…
26 Jan 22 UTC Autumn, 1864: Brilliant.
