Some tips: On those 1v1 maps the most important thing is to get as far as possible as quickly as possible. As England I always convoy to Holland, then go to Kiel, in year two from Kiel to Munich and then I don't take Munich but move even further to Tyrolia. St Petersburg in year 1 is not that good as you can get it later anyway. You want to be in Tyrolia before the other player is. Going for Spain and Norway was good, I also always do that. But then I build a fleet in London and two armies and move Norway back to North sea, that will be my convoy fleet for the rest of the game and only two armies and a fleet in London builds.
