19 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: This is going to be fun :) |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Hi everyone! I'm looking forward to a fun and interesting match. |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Looking forward to it. Good luck everyone |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Oh no I'm England, this is going to be interesting |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Oh you start with one unit? |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Yes |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Your home SCs are determined by whatever SCs you control after the first two years of play |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: And of course it's fog of war :) |
21 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Isn't that all in the game name? |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Yeah, but I'm not sure if everyone knows how 1898 works |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: I think everyone surrenders to FRance in 1898. |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Well stats say Turkey wins but that's true for a lot of "classic but more chaos" maps. |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Yeah, Turkey does win a lot huh |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: Anyways, @Russia-would you mind not taking Norway here? I think you need to head South or else Turkey just dominates |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: In my experience the best option for both Turkey and Russia is the path of cooperation. And starting without two fleets in the Black Sea even allows for the natural tension in the south to dissipate. Regardless, starting with one unit changes things quite a bit. Speaking of which, are you planning to take Norway with your Edinburgh fleet, England? That would put you very close to StP (and possibly ceding London to France) on the first turn. |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: @Turkey I'm definitely not taking Norway with Edi, especially not in year one :) I need to try and get four centers as home SCs, and taking Norway here would be distinctly counterproductive to that |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Spring, 1899: btw, France starts with an army anyways (in Brest) |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Autumn, 1899: Alright, if nobody objects can I take Belgium here? |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Autumn, 1899: (Specifically to @France and @Germany) |
22 Aug 22 UTC | Autumn, 1899: What's wrong with Norway or Edinburgh? |
