05 Apr 23 UTC | Spring, 1601: Dibs on E5 D4. There is nothing you can legally do against my claims now. |
10 Apr 23 UTC | Enriador (Gamedirector): Thanks to tobi1, there should be two changes to the variant: 1) Armies are called kings (official abbreviation: "K"), and fleets are called knights ("N"). 2) Powers can build in any owned supply center alongside their first two rows. So for example the Chinese could build anywhere between H8 and H2, or between G7 and G1. If something doesn't work let me know by PM, but don't despair. It is possible only the next build phase will have the changes. |
11 Apr 23 UTC | Good game. |
11 Apr 23 UTC | Red arrows are hard to be detected on a bright red Ottomans power colour. |
11 Apr 23 UTC | I supposed the same is with the support-arrows on a bright Ming power. |
11 Apr 23 UTC | Yes. I think a more earthen colour pattern like that of Atlantic Colonies would do well |
11 Apr 23 UTC | One comment: it feels like the map is almost too condensed. There’s never a time when I have a base that’s unquestionably “mine,” and I can never stop knights from infiltrating after the early game. I’d love to see a two-player version of this, tbc. Four players just seems like chaos. |
11 Apr 23 UTC | Wasn’t that chaotic. |
13 Apr 23 UTC | Enriador (Gamedirector): Thanks for partaking in the playtest guys. I will tweak the colors and look into Atlantic Colonies for inspiration. If tobi1 is OK with it porting the 2-player variant should be a piece of cake. |
