14 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1885: Japan best country in this mode imo |
14 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1885: I had a great 2nd place finish with China a few runs ago but Japan's navy gets scary if they play it right |

23 Dec 23 UTC | Spring, 1887: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Italy replacing "AKEE". Reconsider your alliances. |
24 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1887: GameMaster: Germany voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Autumn, 1888" the votes will be cleared. |
12 Jan 24 UTC | Spring, 1892: GameMaster: Japan voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
24 Jan 24 UTC | Good game |
24 Jan 24 UTC | Well played everyone! @England I was hoping we could eliminate a few more players first, but I get why you moved when you did. |
24 Jan 24 UTC | The main reason was boredom and impatience. Things were taking too long ???? |
24 Jan 24 UTC | I thought the Japanese player played particularly well given the hand they were dealt. They outwitted me a few times |
24 Jan 24 UTC | Thx for the game. You guys built up so quick it became a bit of a race to stalemate. |
24 Jan 24 UTC | Er ... if UK and France 'ally' at the start it's not a game, it's a procession |
24 Jan 24 UTC | France, if I may ask, did you see that a British solo was coming eventually? Or is it the scoring system that still allows you to win nonetheless? My game plan in the end was for you two to eventually fight, so I'm just curious. |
24 Jan 24 UTC | I was hoping for the same |
24 Jan 24 UTC | Yeah, I was always pretty sure England was going to solo. But given that it's ppsc, I figured taking second place as part of a virtually unassailable alliance was a safer bet than trying to fight him and potentially getting eliminated. As China points out, an Anglo-French alliance has a certain inexorability. Perhaps if we'd eliminated Germany, Turkey, and Austria without the game ending I'd have turned on him. |
24 Jan 24 UTC | I survived! (Thanks Austria) |
24 Jan 24 UTC | Ah, that does make sense France. Chances are, I'd probably do the same as you honestly. Also, I've really wanted to applaud you for that move in Spring 1892 where you supported my move into your own sealane. Seriously didn't see that coming - very well played. Russia, I find it poetic that though we were rivals from the get-go, we ended up as allies in the last moments. Truly one of the stories of all time. |
