16 Dec 23 UTC Spring, 1065: Info: This is a choose your country game.
24 Dec 23 UTC Autumn, 1067: GameMaster: Someone has taken over Toledo replacing "LovelyPinkEgg". Reconsider your alliances.
04 Jan 24 UTC Spring, 1072: GameMaster: Toledo voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
17 Jan 24 UTC GG, you guys. I wanted to push for the solo but I'm really busy at real life right now, so a draw will have to do
17 Jan 24 UTC Thanks for testing the map! Any feedback is appreciated :)
17 Jan 24 UTC GG everyone
17 Jan 24 UTC I would say that this time Granada felt too strong, being able to hold me at bay for far too long even though he was being attacked in all other directions meanwhile. But maybe it is only because Sevilla got attacked early game on two fronts. Plus, with how defensible Almoravid homelands are, maybe that's actually a good thing, incentivizing an uneasy alliance between Granada and Almoravids
17 Jan 24 UTC I agree Granada looked too strong in comparison with Sevilla. First draft had an initial army in Granada and a fleet in Málaga, now I tried with two armies. Maybe next time I can try army in Málaga and fleet in Granada and see if that balances the fight against Sevilla (which is what concerns me)
17 Jan 24 UTC GG. I do think that Granada starts out strong, but the fact that they are directly in the Almoravids' path and Almoravids has basically no enemies nearby counteracted that.

17 Jan 24 UTC GG! Definitely didn't expect to survive that
17 Jan 24 UTC Agree, Sevilla is challenging for gunboat as I feel like a lot of things would have to go right to not be attacked by at least two powers. But that is the challenge of gunboat in general. I see it as akin to playing Venice or Genoa in Europa Renovatio.

With press, I would anticipate a deal being possible with Badajoz.
17 Jan 24 UTC Enjoyed the map regardless, fun times. Thank you for creating!
17 Jan 24 UTC Thanks to you for playing it! In the previous iteration of the map, with Granada having one less army, Sevilla was a powerhouse, so I suspect the final version will be more balanced, if I can find the right way :)
18 Jan 24 UTC GG, although both times as Zaragoza I have been pounded by Denia and Aragon, am unable to make any progress against either of them.
18 Jan 24 UTC I think if Deni didn’t have that starting army I would have lasted longer
18 Jan 24 UTC Zaragoza is worrisome, yeah. But Denia has done poorly in every game but this one, as well as Toledo and C&L. I think I'm going to add a neutral SC in Alpuente, see if that helps, although I don't know what to do for Castilla y León
18 Jan 24 UTC Good game! Just a technical thing, some provinces had weird names in the system, like Faro is called something completely different.
18 Jan 24 UTC Faro is a weird one. The real name of the province is "Santa María del Algarve" because that was the actual name of the taifa kingdom at the time, but because of its size, there's no way I can fit that name in the map. Since the name of the city nowadays is Faro, I put that on the map and the province is Santa María del Algarve (FARO). But I see how it could be confusing
18 Jan 24 UTC It should be just that province, no? I think everything else has (or should have) its proper name
