11 Jan 24 UTC Spring, 1: (han-shahanshah): This looks exciting!
11 Jan 24 UTC Spring, 1: Greetings
11 Jan 24 UTC Spring, 1: Hello everyone! Good luck!!!
20 Jan 24 UTC Spring, 4: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
22 Jan 24 UTC Autumn, 4: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders.
22 Jan 24 UTC Autumn, 4: GameMaster: ghostronin has taken over Arinth replacing "Saladin_der_Weise". Reconsider your alliances.
08 Feb 24 UTC Spring, 11: GameMaster: Arinth voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has.
08 Feb 24 UTC Spring, 11: GameMaster: Arinth voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat.
10 Feb 24 UTC GG! This was a pretty cool variant, it was neat figuring out what can be left safe and what can't be due to where the units can and can't attack.
10 Feb 24 UTC Thanks! Yeah, would love to hear everyones' thoughts
10 Feb 24 UTC Yes, that was a really cool component.
10 Feb 24 UTC Things seemed at least fairly balanced at first glance, though it was a bit hard to tell cause I was more focused on the unusual format. It was very interesting to try and plan ahead where the dragons could go in order to avoid them blocking a fort from being taken or how to utilize them in the mountains to more easily grab a center.

Is the map (and lore blurb in the description) from some world building project you had already created or did you just create it on the fly after thinking up a neat variant idea?
10 Feb 24 UTC Yes, it's too early to talk about Game balance now...
But I still think that Trilspa has a difficult time as they are the only country who's starting land is divided by a mountain. Also, Proy in the centre is always going to struggle. To improve that, you could give them another centre, if not as starting centre, then in a place like Duria where they could easily get it. Alternatively (and I think this is the better option) you could extend the territories on the edges of the map to bring the four corner powers closer together geograpically so they can better attack each other instead of going into the middle
11 Feb 24 UTC Good points, thanks guys.
The flavor text was just some stuff I made up.
11 Feb 24 UTC One interesting aspect of the map was that “landlocked” territories are often adjacent to “sea” territories but you cannot travel between them.
11 Feb 24 UTC I would agree that balance is tricky on this map- my suggestion is to surround large parts of the edge with mountains to give the dragons a little more specific dynamism.
11 Feb 24 UTC Oh, nice idea. I kinda just sprinkled territories and mountains around without much thought for this first go-around.
