07 Mar 24 UTC | Gg all! A few thoughts. When Turkey was still around I was debating which way to go next, into Russia or to counter France. Even when I started to counter France I was hoping that they would build a fleet in Brest as a signal to me that they were going to apply some pressure on England. Unfortunately, that never happened and I had to continue west to against France. I was a bit disappointed in Russia towards the end. There were a few opportunities for them to kick England out of Warsaw. Did you see that Russia or not? Not clear to me if you did. As long as I was making progress against France I wasn’t going to turn on Russia, Munich and Paris could have been in the cards is things were just a little different. When Russia didn’t move on England towards the end, I really thought about continuing and taking the chance against Russia. But with England coming I couldn’t quite find the 18 I would need. Gg once again everyone and best of luck in your future matches! |
07 Mar 24 UTC | Wait, it actually ended? Holy cow, I thought I wasn't gonna make it. |
07 Mar 24 UTC | Gg everyone, this was fun. |
07 Mar 24 UTC | GG. I did see some opportunity for movement Austria but was happy enough locking down the front and maybe getting England to fuck off elsewhere, as I remained paranoid until the end that you would shift to move on me |
07 Mar 24 UTC | My strategy was just trusting England. And it worked? |
07 Mar 24 UTC | Yeah France I see how badly you trusted me and how badly you want me to trust you, but no fleets at all sounds like a bad idea for France. So good that I built too many of them for Germany and Russia or we'll be in trouble. |
07 Mar 24 UTC | I like France’s genuine surprise lol. Russia, I am curious why you were so paranoid. We collaborated against Russia, I went west and demilitarized Anatolia. The only movement into your territory I attempted was to Galicia without support because I thought you’d attempt to grab Warsaw and it would cut the English retreat. So I am curious, was there anything I could have done to make you less paranoid? |
07 Mar 24 UTC | Not really, I just always expect the lead to go for the solo, and it remained a possibility. Anyway I survived to the draw, as good a result as I could have hoped for by then. I'm back at the game after a long break, so alternating between being too reckless and too cautious until I find the right balance ;) |
