I address you all, sovereigns of these great powers, with the hope of freeing ourselves from our distresses, and with the ideal of diplomatic engagement in mind.

As European powers, we have a responsibility and obligation to each of our respective populations. At times, these obligations may align with the ideals and goals of other rival nations. At times, these obligations may not align with said ideals and goals. We owe ourselves, and our respective citizenries, the utmost care and practice towards free and fair justice in our engagements.

In this new Century, it is imperative we avoid the mistakes of the old one. We must endeavour, as best we can, to ensure peace and stability to all, and in the event of disagreement, we should always favour diplomatic action when it can be chosen over military action.

May God bless and protect us all, and in his sight, may we do best by those we are indeed sworn to protect.
