05 Jun 12 UTC | Spring, 2101: (Guaroz): Hello everyone and good luck all! :-) First, I want to thank Wolfman for his great idea: I believe this will be very funny and he made up a great job! Second, yes, can't wait to see who I get to work with, as well. I just hope they're talkative people. Third, I guess players will end up calling the Alliances just: - the Northerns (or, later, just 'the NTHs') - the Centrals (CTRs) - the Southerns (STHs) - the Europeans or Euros - the Africans - the Asians - the Easterns (ESTs) or something like this, because they might not like to check each time who's UCA and who's CUA. Fourth: have fun! :)) |
05 Jun 12 UTC | Spring, 2101: (Wolfman): Yes, once everyone has joined. Please feel free to rename you alliances. Just post it globally so we all know what you wish to be called. Good luck to all, have fun, and my the best team win. I too hope my team is talkative and willing to come up with some unique ways to play. |
05 Jun 12 UTC | Spring, 2101: (gman314): One thing: I played in a previous WWIV team game on this site (Wolfman and kaner did too) (http://vdiplomacy.net/board.php?gameID=3699#gamePanel) and I took away two things from that one: 1) E-mail. Best way to communicate with your team is by exchanging e-mails. That way you can have all 5 players in the same conversation. 2) Don't take it too seriously please. The previous game ended up drawing early because of a bit of miscommunication regarding the rules and a really messy full-team stab. I hope that doesn't happen this time. |
05 Jun 12 UTC | Spring, 2101: (Guaroz): Good point gman. Woolfman, why don't you copy-paste the complete rules here? Good tip for emails also. I hope my teammates will be willing to. |
05 Jun 12 UTC | Spring, 2101: (Wolfman): 1) Alliance members cannot eliminate a player on their team. 2) Alliances should try to keep all members alive in the alliance, to the best of their abilities. Sharing centers if need be. 3) Alliances may work with any other alliances they wish. 4) Alliances may choose to have one member be the leader/spokesperson if they choose. 5) All members’ input considered on all moves and actions of their alliance, recommended to give your team the best chances. 6) Members may give up centers to other members of the alliance, as long as they maintain control of at least one center at all times, for strategic purposes. 7) No individual member can win outright or solo. If a member of an alliance is getting close, then handing over of centers to another member of the alliance might be necessary to equal out balance and to ensure that the game ends with a draw among one alliance. 8) Game should draw once there is only one alliance power left. However, if there is stalemate lines or all members of two or more alliances wish. A draw between 10 or more members is permissible. These are the basic rules for this game. Here for reference if needed. |
