26 Sep 12 UTC | Spring, 1901: Excellent excellent. Let's do it. |
26 Sep 12 UTC | Spring, 1902: The above is one of those situations that I don't "get" in Diplomacy, so it will be helpful to see how it plays out. |
26 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1903: Check denmark's move options you may be surprised |
27 Sep 12 UTC | Spring, 1904: How odd that it can move directly to Sweden ... |
27 Sep 12 UTC | Spring, 1904: I don't get how Tyrolia was dislodged. You tried to attack Tyrolia with Trieste, Venice, and Piedmont, which I anticpated. My counter-move was to have Vienna cut Trieste's suport and have Munich support Tyrolia. That way it would be Venice & Piedmont v. Tyroolia and Munich, which is 2 v. 2 and the move would fail. How did it succeed? |
27 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1904: You moved tyro to Venice. A support hold only supports a non moving unit. If tyro holds that support succeeds. |
27 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1904: Ah. So the correct play would have been to hold Tyrolia and support it with Munich. Okay. |
27 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1904: I think that a 1v1 game should be all newbies first games for situations like this. |
27 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1904: Yeah, it's good for learning the game. I might have to keep playing 1v1 games until I get my confidence up. This game makes me feel very paranoid and I still fuck up the rules and my strategies. |
27 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1904: yeah it takes a couple of screw ups to figure it out |
28 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1904: I also have no idea what will happen with the set of moves I've submitted. I don't get "if A and B try to dislodge C, while C and D try to dislodge A ...." situations. |
28 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1905: Ah sneaky sneaky. I thought you'd relocate to Serbia. Did not anticipate a move to the Ukraine. Also, I didn't think taking Rumania was necessarily the smartest move but I wanted the opportunity to tinker around more with support / cutting support. |
28 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1905: I think you are getting the hang of it. |
28 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1905: I still didn't know what would happen if the situation I described last night (and I didn't get to find out, because you didn't submit dislodge moves). Any idea? |
29 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1905: I am not sure what move you are talking about |
29 Sep 12 UTC | Spring, 1906: I love seeing this long list of centers. The longest I ever had was 10 in the first game I played (as Austria). |
30 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Germany voted for a Extend. If 2/3 of the active players vote Extend the the current phase will be extend by 4 days. Please consider backing this. If the majority is not reached by "Autumn, 1907" the votes will be cleared. |
30 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1906: GameMaster: Per 2/3 majority vote the gamephase got extended by 4 days. (Voters: Germany / Italy) |
30 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1906: Thanks Mike. Gotta run (grocery store, making dinner, tutoring Derik's brother-in-law). I'll definitely put orders in tomorrow. |
30 Sep 12 UTC | Autumn, 1906: K no prob |
