On 1 June, Coffee reported a loss to Swede03. Since then, Coffee has challenged Sky_Hopper to a map of their choice.

If I wanted to join this tournament who could I challenge?

Iamnobody, the whole rules are at the start of the thread, but in short, you can put your name at the bottom and always challenge anyone in the two spots above you (three, if we are over 20) who isn't engaged and who isn't someone you just played. (One of you must have played another opponent since then.). So as a new player now, you could only challenge Swede03.

CCR has been very helpful by posting a link to the most current rules every time new players express an interest, most recently on 25 May. Here's what he said then.

of all the slow tournaments, this is the slowest

I wouldn't mind editing the rules myself, to one week and at most 24 hour phases. But I think there are some old-timer here who are against it

In Jan 18 2019 i was challenged by cptMike and he noticed i didbt check in since Dec 24. I returned in Feb 01 and the games were created.

So if we vote to change the rules retroactively, then you're excluded, and I would take over the top spot???

Although I'm not a participant in this ladder, I've been watching it for a long time. The penalty for not responding to a challenge is very severe -- removal from the ladder, and if you return later, you have to come back in at the bottom. This would be a nuisance for someone in Sky Hopper's position, 4th from the bottom. It would be a complete disaster for someone in CCR's position, after having worked so hard, probably over a period of years, to get to the top.
