China?
Guys, I'm in China and right now my VPN is off but I can press and move in games and I can look at the forum and I can do everything without China blocking me, I don't understand why this is happening?

i thought it was just me. For some reason, if I use a VPN or mobile data, it works fine. But yes, Error 503 is becoming more and more common

Yeah, I noticed too, seems like server maintenance or updates are causing the hiccups. Hopefully it stabilises soon.

The other day I saved my orders twice but they didn't "stick" - NMRed as a result.

I’ve had that happen too, saved orders but they didn’t stick. Probably a quick server hiccup. Hopefully it gets sorted soon.

yeah the server isn't always available,some times it will stuck with a very slow downloading speed.However these days I think it is ok to use

I entered moves, and saved them but didn’t ready them. It says I missed a turn. Are there issues with something?

If the orders are not submitted, then after refreshing the site, they will disappear, so you can simply refresh and check if the orders are submitted

BTW, I think while there have been server errors etc, we - as good Diplomacy players - need to reflect we're getting a totally free service here with unfortunately limited tech support due to other real life priorities. I love vDip, and do wish we weren't seeing errors like this. Hopefully not too far down the track time becomes available for the volunteer techies to have a look into things, or others with good technical knowledge can volunteer their services.

Oh yeah honestly I'm surprised this is the first time I've had server issues like this in so many years here, especially given the owner not being around most of the time

FAQ Contacting Moderators
Is the FAQ up to date? Im not sure what this is talking about. Did you just copy and paste this from webdip? One answer talks about the forum as if it’s been switched to a category format, which I know happened at webdip years ago clearly not here unless you switched back.

Activating Flowery War
Flowery War seems to be set up as map 150, but not able to be played, while the variant next numbered, Europa Renovatio, is playable. Why is that?

Support from-to option instead of support to-from
Hi! I used to play tabletop and just recently discovered variants, now playing on vDiplomacy and I have a trouble with Support orders. I misplayed few times because I'm used to write support orders noting From first, and To last. I hope for that option in settings.

Does vDip send e.g. email notifications?
Does vDip send notifications, for example by email? I am in my first game on vDip, and coming from Backstabbr, the ability to get notifications to my email about press, game phases, etc would be extremely convenient.

Interactive map bug?
Has anyone else experienced a bug where clicks are not registered on the interactive map mode? Cause I've been experiencing this for a few days now in all of my games where it will load fine, and let's me click a few of my units some of the time (but not every time) (and usually only in the upper left corner), but clicking on the rest of my units just doesn't do anything.

Looking to compile a list of other sites like this. I would check previous threads but there is too much to sift through and no way to refine the search. I've also exhausted web searches; found great games and some not so great.

Gobble Earth is a great variant but...
The number of SCs required for a solo victory is only 37 out of 107 SCs in the world. That is totally unrealistic. To get a solo victory, the number should be approximately 50.
