Thanks for getting this started again, ccga4.

I'd still argue about that finals game. It seems incredible unwise to play a 7 player map with only 6 players, as the balance is going to be completely blown up. Add in teams, and you could have a very unbalanced situation.

Wow. Apparently I missed the response to this. I suggested Mars or Youngstown WWII since those are at least designed 6 player maps.

Alright well I don't see why one of those maps won't work.

Youngstown WWII gets my vote.

I suppose the ones actually participating in the final will have to make the vote on what variant :)

(Not that you won't DR, but we don't know that you will for sure yet)

For what it's worth, I'd vote for Youngstown WWII as well. Mars might be a bit crazy for people especially if they're playing it for the first time.

The winners bracket game finished, with Dr. Recommend/BRICH, Leif_Syverson/drano019, ccga4/Tristan and La Rage/ mukundc advancing. Sadly GOD/The Ambassador, aningera/stinker will be going to the losers bracket.

As suggested towards the end of the game, I'd like to suggest we consider some changes to the loser bracket. While I stayed strong throughout the game, from memory 3 players CD'ed (2 of whom were losers, 1 a winner strangley.) It seems odd in my books to keep things going where winners who CD are rewarded and losers who continue on are penalised, especially to the same extent as the losers who CD.

Perhaps CD'ing "winners" shouldn't continue or alternatively get rid of the losers bracket entirely.

Hey guys really sorry about this. Was going through a rough patch and ended up CD'ing. Is you guys allow it I would still love to play in this tournament. Won't mess up again.

I guess I was a bit pissed that my team member put a reasonable effort in to lobby me to continue playing the Tourney when I had too much on in real life. I felt guilty and agreed to play. Then not to far into the game he CD's and I haven't heard boo from him since. As flagged others CDed and it seems silly to have a "losers" bracket where most of the losers are so unreliable they CD (putting aside the "winner" who CD'ed!). Let's just call this tourney what it is. A great idea at the start, but now as its clear we have some dedicated players who do well, let them play on but cut the rest of us out.

so, from i pulled the winners from the two games (results below). The only issue is 3rd place in the Loser Bracket game. Lukas Podolski was the last surviving active player, but Grand Admiral Thrawn had 3 SCs, but had resigned and left the game two turns earlier. i will leave it to ccga4, but I think that means Lukas moves on.
