This is the work of tobi1. For those out of the know, since the site owner Oli has been away, there was crisis with vDip's code being out of date. tobi1 stepped up and saved the site and took on the role of the site's caretaker out of necessity. I didn't want to say anything before, but earlier this week tobi1 made a new variant slot for my South China Sea variant and even made some rule edits, things only Oli could do before. tobi1 said he was getting used to the variant dev features. Now, before we all get our hopes up, I don't know if the intention is to fully bring back the old days of variant development. My guess is that he wants to release some of the "secret variants," the ones that have been sitting in the wings collecting dust for a while. I'm just saying this because tobi1 took on time-consuming responsibility he maybe didn't necessarily want, but did so anyway, so our little community here could keep going. Adding variants isn't just a lot of work for variant creators, but also for the site manager. I don't know if we'll ever get back to the old days, but hell, I never thought before last week we'd ever see a variant released here again. So, if you see tobi1 around here, make sure to tell him thank you!
