14 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1801: (Swagistan(w)): Hello folie, I believe this is the second game that I am playing with you. |
14 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1801: (folie): Ah yes, welcome to my test game |
14 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1801: Thanks for joining everyone! Make sure you understand the rules of sealanes in the variant description. Let me know if you find any border errors and I'll fix them right away (there shouldn't be any, though) and at the end of the game I'd love to hear your feedback on balance. Good luck all! |
15 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1801: Interactive map highlighted zones are a little wonky right now but I think it’s a caching thing so it should be fixed relatively soon. The territories should all still have proper movement relations. |
15 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1801: Where is the description? |
15 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1801: Click the "New Zealand" link under the game title (New Zealand beta-7) |
17 Nov 23 UTC | Autumn, 1801: Could have sworn I ordered TOIs to Rgi |
18 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1802: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
22 Nov 23 UTC | Autumn, 1803: I played myself with Awa to Arawa |
23 Nov 23 UTC | Autumn, 1803: GameMaster: Rangitane voted for a Concede. If everyone (but one) votes concede the game will end and the player _not_ voting Concede will get all the points. Everybody else will get a defeat. |
23 Nov 23 UTC | Autumn, 1803: We need to team up on the Ngai Tahu, or else they will become too powerful! |
24 Nov 23 UTC | Spring, 1804: Agreed. |
01 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1805: GameMaster: Game was extended due to at least 1 member failing to enter orders and having an excused missed turn available. This has un-readied all orders. |
07 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1807: @Nga Puhi and Ngati Koata, I am just support holding and waiting for you two to finish up before hitting DRAW. |
07 Dec 23 UTC | Autumn, 1807: That’s no fun. Go for the solo! |
09 Dec 23 UTC | GameMaster: Ngati Koata voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
09 Dec 23 UTC | So Orange, out of interest, if I hadn't pre-emptively taken Haua would you have attempted a solo? |
09 Dec 23 UTC | Thanks for playing everybody. What do we think of the sealanes? Gameplay certainly evolved differently than I thought, I think it ended up making it more unbalanced. |
09 Dec 23 UTC | Yes I would've gone for it, also my TOI support not getting saved for whatever reason, if I took Matau-a-Maui I might've also kept going for it. But alas. Still could've potentially go for it, I could take Haua back, take Tuk, and take Rah all in spring, but felt like it might be annoying (plus it's unranked so too much effort for what it's worth) Not sure what to make of the sealanes yet, think I was too out of it from life stuff to analyze the sealanes too much |
11 Dec 23 UTC | this was my first game i utilized sea lanes. i think they added a good layer of come back ability, though they do require a lot of fleets to be able to defend before being able to attack while not exposing yourself to the person youre attacking from the direction you are attacking from |
