15 Sep 16 UTC | Spring, 1648: game on!! |
15 Sep 16 UTC | Spring, 1648: Dammit! What I wouldn't give for some contiguity. |
19 Sep 16 UTC | Autumn, 1648: You appear to be reaching a reasonable level of contiguity fairly well :p |
24 Sep 16 UTC | Autumn, 1649: Hello Wettin, how about working together against Hohenzollern ? |
24 Sep 16 UTC | Autumn, 1649: and in global no less! |
30 Sep 16 UTC | Autumn, 1650: Is no-one talking, or is it just that no-one is talking to me? |
01 Oct 16 UTC | Autumn, 1650: basically the latter |
01 Oct 16 UTC | Autumn, 1650: Shh Spain! We all agreed not to say anything. |
04 Oct 16 UTC | Autumn, 1651: I see you got someone to talk to you, Palatinate. |
04 Oct 16 UTC | Autumn, 1651: I did! It was all very productive. |
08 Oct 16 UTC | Spring, 1652: GameMaster: Spanish Habsburg voted for a Draw. If everyone votes Draw the game will end and the points are split equally among all the surviving players, regardless of how many supply centers each player has. |
10 Oct 16 UTC | Spring, 1652: How about we reconsider the draw after Spanish Hapsburg is gone? |
10 Oct 16 UTC | Spring, 1652: WHAAAT? I am major player still !! ;) |
10 Oct 16 UTC | Spring, 1652: same tbh |
27 Oct 16 UTC | Spring, 1655: ok, you got me now, the Spanish soldiers holed up in Cologne are cooked ... |
31 Oct 16 UTC | 3-way draw, or solo? |
31 Oct 16 UTC | GG all, Palatinate was too close to a solo for me to completely trust him enough to go for a two way draw. But I did enjoy a game-long alliance with you mouse, which was pretty useless in the first few years, but critical later on. |
31 Oct 16 UTC | Plus I'm a bit worn out from all the games I'm juggling right now |
31 Oct 16 UTC | Yeah, I was pretty solidly going to attempt to solo if we didn't draw this phase. 2-way would just be too fiddly and time consuming. I wouldn't call the first few years of alliance useless, though. Sure, there wasn't much active assistance, but a guaranteed safe flank is worth quite a bit, and often all you need out of an alliance at points. Well played Hohenzollern, too - very deft expansion early, and help up decently on the defensive near the end. |
31 Oct 16 UTC | I guess then in the beginning our alliance was in practice an NAP agreement actually, and only actually became a real alliance after Hohenzollern simply exploded in the middle of Germany, and thus suffered from "early leader syndrome", since he was blocking everyone's expansion path. |
