05 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1994: "In my dream I was almost there Then you pulled me aside and said you're going nowhere So I move my line like a Modern man And the other countries, they understand"... |
08 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1995: My apologies. I had to leave during the builds phase and there was no way to place advance orders. When I got back, moves had processed. I'm new and didn't realize there would be no grace period, aso I probably shouldn't have joined a daily game. Since I have more upcoming days where I'll be away, I wrote the moderators on Sunday and informed them that I wanted to resign and get a replacement, but I haven't heard back from them? And the game just keeps proceeding. I'm not sure how to go about that at this point? |
08 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1995: The only thing i can think of is that the person goes cd, as in the person misses i think at least 2 phases of orders. But normaly when that happens there are no replacements to pick up and the neighbors start eating up the cd player. That's how i understand it, if anyone else knows something else to do, then say it, be a nice opinion. |
08 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1995: Thanks, and again, my apologies, I was really enjoying the game. I wish they would put this kind of information in the FAQ, so I could have avoided this. Good luck to my allies. |
08 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1995: shoot |
10 Aug 11 UTC | Spring, 1996: So, nothing is done about CD players? A CD player could just step back in, in the middle of a game after they haven't moved in five seasons and start moving again? Of course I would never do this, but that is bizarre. |
10 Aug 11 UTC | Spring, 1996: Also, doesn't this hold the game up (for games that have longer phases) unnecessarily? |
11 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1996: it can i'm seeing people go cd or just not finalizing their orders in a 7 day phase game. when a player goes cd, it just depends if someone that is looking to join a game decides to join one that has already started. i normaly see that cd players don't get filled in cd players. i think it's do do with how much they pay to replace the person and their position of strentgh on the map. |
11 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1996: Thanks. I know I won't let this happen again, but you'd think a CD player would at least be locked out of the game after they missed a two or three phases. |
11 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1996: Ya, well just not sure what the thing is in why they would think people will join games most of the someone cd's. normaly, either they aren't replaced at all or someone joins and then goes cd too. Not many times i would say they actualy stay through the whole thing. |
12 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1996: (Oli): I removed G-Man from the game, so someone else can take over faster. |
16 Aug 11 UTC | Autumn, 1997: Gentlemen, I'm afraid I need to be absent from Thursday until Saturday and hope that all will agree to a pause. |
