17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): Hola. Cómo estás? |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (GetDoneSon): Bien. Gotta love high school spanish knowledge |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): Español es major de Aleman. Tambien necesitamos mas mapas con España. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): Ich ein un Berliner. . . |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (GetDoneSon): I feel like the spanish civil war would make a good 1v1 map, actually. Sorry, but I’m not going to attempt to speak spanish. I can read it for the most part though |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): True. Talk to Enriador :) Verdad. Habla con Enriador :) |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (GetDoneSon): Hey, you don’t have to translate it but yeah I should |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): Haha. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): Let’s assign blame for World War 1. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Enriador): Yo no hablo español, más hablo bien portuñol. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): Portuguese is just a rip-off of the superior language that is Spanish. 1. Germany 2. Austria-Hungary 3. Russia 4. Bulgaria 5. Serbia 6. Britain 7. France 8. Ottoman Empire 9. Italy 10. Japan That’s a really rough list I just typed out without a ton of thought. We can change that eventually. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): (Assigning blame for WWI) |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Enriador): Any fan of Romance languages knows that Portuguese is far superior to the Castillian language (never heard of this "Spanish" you speak of!). Blame for WW1? Hmm. 1. Austria 2. Serbia 3. Russia 4. France 5. Germany (Germany did nothing wrong!) |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (GetDoneSon): Except for the whole Belgian thing, perhaps |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Enriador): Hmm, I think Britain would have jumped on anyway. "Violating Belgian neutrality" was a mere causus belli. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): German aggression and mobilization heightened tensions and caused the treaty web. In addition, the blank check was what tipped Austria-Hungary in favor of attacking Serbia. AH certainly started the war, but they don’t deserve as much blame. Russia actually mobilized BEFORE AH declared war on Serbia. Bulgaria was the culprit of the Balkan Wars, and stressed the surrounding nations to their breaking point. Etc., etc. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): You have to blame Britain as much as France, because WWI was a war of imperialists caused by imperialism. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Argentinean Empire): How about WW2? Obviously Germany is 1, but past that is interesting. 1. Nazi Germany 2. Tonga (jk Britain) 3. France 4. Japan 5. Soviet Russia 6. Italy Etc. |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (GetDoneSon): WW2 was actually Poland’s fault for not ceding Danzig (Joke) |
17 May 18 UTC | Spring, 1913: (Enriador): "German aggression and mobilization". France too was highly mobilized, stucking Lorraine with troops ever since the lost war of 1871. And "agression" can also be used to define French conduct over Morocco during the First & Second Moroccan Crisises.... the difference is that both times Germany backed down. In the Serbian Crisis, Russia refused to back down from supporting Serbia, itself a sponsor of terrorists. I rank Britain slightly lower because they at least tried to defuse the situation a bit. |
