15 Dec 21 UTC | Spring, 1900: (Nixie): Afghanistan v2 Friendly Reminders on Countries: [S] Britian, Germany Britian clearly is a low-risk, high reward country. His ability to be a side character in the top left corner while having heavy weight on alliances (control of Mid) + the Eastern theater (Egypt!) makes him good. Germany is also clearly the superpower country. By 1901, Germany can already have more than double some country's SCs. This is due to the fact that Belgium is direct German territory and sometimes even Switzerland can be fought for. It's still a central power, however, and France/Russia/Austria/Britian may not like it growing so fast...tread carefully. [A] Turkey, Austria-Hungary, Italy, France Turkey is the most balanced country on this board bar none. It's renovations to be + contest Eas/Bla better makes it stronger, but the fact that England generally is knocking at it's doorstep makes it worse. Austria-Hungary while on paper looks worse, has gotten a lot better. Austria now no longer needs to worry about it's Italian front nearly as much and can deal with Russia much better. Very balanced country France is the country that has been nerfed the hardest. It's still a balanced country, but it may not be comfortable with England being able to excuse itself for clawing at France's backside to "protect Egypt." Also, Germany has 7-8 SC now, so watch out for Vichy France! [B] Russia Yes, I did intentionally pick the worst country in 1900 Variant. Russia has been dropped to the lowest win rate, with it's offensive capabilities significantly weakened. Warsaw is extremely easy to attack, Sweden and Romania easy to deny (considering Austria no longer cares about Italy), leaving Russia with even the possibility of getting 0 SC in 1901. However, it does gain Siberia, making it difficult to invade and allows it to stop aggressive pushes better and more historoical (Napolean + Hitler). |
15 Dec 21 UTC | Spring, 1900: (DinoNerd29): Austria-Hungary, clams the lands of Romania, Serbia, and Bulgaria, the Archduke Antonis, doesn't recognize any other claims on the lands, we also hope to regain our alliance with our brothers in Germany. Archduke Antonis |
15 Dec 21 UTC | Spring, 1900: (Nixie): Also again remember alliances before the game starts are banned." Also: Russia usually gets Romania and an Austrian army there is very anti-Russian. Tread carefully |
