I tested out my theory, its not 100% true. I was giving my orders to Halt before we finalized to see if it was, and in the end he won.

There were 8 instances in the game where it came down to a 50-50 guess, and obviously since Halt new my orders for all 8 of them, he came out on top.

I don't think its possible for Turkey to win against a competent English player, but its not as guaranteed as I previously thought.

I would like to play again, because I have made some adjustments to the strategy as there were 3 things Halt did that I didn't anticipate, and I would like to adjust my strategy to include contingencies for them.

If anyone wants to have a go against, where I will make public my moves before each turn, they are welcome to do so.

1. Moving Venice to Piedmont instead of Tyrolia
2. Moving to Tyrolia instead of holding at Trieste (to get the sc)

yeah, in a regular game you probably would have held for Trieste, because not counting Trieste you only had 2 guaranteed builds that year, however because you knew my orders you then had 3 guaranteed builds.

So it was the right decision by you, taking advantage of knowing my moves.

Is anyone willing to take England against my Turkey and give me their moves? Has the experiment been done? I'm curious because my opinion seems to be in such a small minority (meaning me and my deranged alter ego).

I believe Facses349 tried it a couple times and was unsuccessful. I think you are right about the fact that if you know your opponents moves you will win. It doesn't seem like a very controversial statement.
