@Kaner: The Queensland SC's are supposed to be Brisbane and Gold Coast, but I can change the actual location of the Supply Centers if I need to (I can change the names too). I expanded Northern Territory into parts of Queensland in order to emphasize that the Eastern part is connected to the Sydney/New South Wales SC. Since Australian borders are more arbitrary than geographical, I wanted to use them more as a guideline than as unchangeable borders. Additionally, since I had to draw all of the borders across the map by hand, I didn't know how accurate I could have gotten it anyway. Tasmania is just an island floating around, not unlike Crete in Classic. Yes, the map does wrap around, and some ocean territories (like the Aleutians and the Bering Strait) are shown separately on each side of the globe.
@Kaner/All: Yes, I wanted to expand certain areas to an extent to create some difficulty of maneuverability to downplay the extra power of the superpowers, while emphasizing neutral locations for sources of conflict. (like Africa, Kazakhstan, Eastern Europe, etc.) I kind of wanted Europe to be a clusterfuck, mainly because it would be if a 'Modern War' broke out. The different kinds of Supply Centers that I envisioned would ease flow of what you're talking about to an extent, but they'd really only be able to be implemented in a F2F playing of the game, so I'm not going to cover them in detail.
Honestly, I see no reason to change South America. I would like to keep it the way it is if I can.
I can change Africa, though. All of the included powers, however, are based off of GDP and playability. All powers included are in the top thirty GDP and have shown signs of growth over the past twenty years. With that being said, I don't think I could feel comfortable with myself including another African power at 7 Supply Centers. So at the risk of throwing the game's balance, I could possibly include an Egypt, a Congo, or a Sudan at 5 SC's...I'll work on it.
@caliburdeath:
1. I hear you, I was going to change that anyway.
2. I hear you, I was going to change that anyway.
3. I hear you, but I'm not going to change it.
Let me know if you guys have anything else you want to add, especially around Africa...
